Alana De La Garza has earned a reputation on television. In the year 1976, De La Garza was born to a Mexican American father and an Irish-American mother in Columbus Ohio. Soon after she was moving to Texas to pursue her physical therapy degree at University of Texas. De La Garza moved from Texas to Orlando Florida and took on diverse roles in independent local films as well as global commercials. She quickly found her passion for the art of acting despite the tiny roles. Her move was from the Midwest to New York. Her first role was on the soap opera All My Children. In the beginning of 2000, she played minor roles on JAG Las Vegas as well as Two and a Half Men. In 2004, she got a role as her first part of a series on The Mountain, the short-lived drama on television. De La Garza, who was Maria Serrano on The Mountain had the privilege of appearing alongside many top TV celebrities including Barbara Hershey Oliver Hudson Penn Badgley Mitch Pilegget and Mitch Pilegget. The character she's most remembered for was her A.D.A. character in Law & Order (2006). Connie Rubirosa. She appeared for 85 episodes. The character of her Law & Order: LA spinoff was a short-lived. The character she played earned De La Garza several nominations such as Best Supporting Actress - Television by the Imagen Foundation Awards and even numerous ALMA Award noms. In 2008, she received the Impact Award from the National Hispanic Media Coalition to recognize Outstanding performance in a Dramatic Television Series. De La Garza was then chosen as a recurring character in CSI Miami. She was cast in the role of Marisol Delko, the wife of David Caruso's Horatio. As Dr. Lena Solis, she was most recently seen on NBC's rather dark drama Do No Harm. Alyssa Milano was cancelled by NBC in the first two episodes.
