Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his role in the popular television show 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to develop an interest in acting. In the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. He's appeared in TV and films, however it was his small-screen characters which earned him fame and an enormous fan base. He's been able to effortlessly play roles of characters who are from both sides of law and grab the audience's attention. His first project was a television show, and later, he played a detective for the NYPD. His performances on small screens have been recognized with multiple Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. He is known for his blue piercing eyes, which have become a signature and helped portray tough characters with charisma. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
